- Launch Date: The collection officially dropped on the morning of Monday, Dec. 8.
- Design & Utility: Inspired by the restaurant’s iconic packaging, the collection “marries utility with style” and features insulated construction to keep food warm. The trend of food-inspired merchandise extends beyond Chipotle’s luggage and into the realm of fragrance with a limited-edition release from international grocer Lidl.
- The Scent: On Dec. 4, Lidl announced the release of Eau de Croissant, a perfume designed by Sarah McCartney, the “fairy godmother of U.K. perfumery.” The scent “captures the warm, buttery aroma of a croissant straight from the oven, turning it into a surprisingly wearable scent.”
- Availability: The perfume comes in a croissant-shaped bottle, but it is a limited-edition giveaway. Shoppers could enter for a chance to win a bottle via Lidl’s Instagram from December 4 through December 18.
